Barcelona
24 september 2015
Hi everyone,
We are still in Barcelona, but I like to try this blog out. I hope some of you will react so I know you have received it.
During the past three days we've roamed through this beautiful city. We walked through alleyways from the Middle Ages, enjoyed all the people walking and shopping on "Las Ramblas", we admired the enormous Cathedral "La Sagrada Familia", which is is still under construction. That was truly awesome! Today we saw Parc Guell which was built by the same architect: Antoni Gaudi. He also designed several houses and a villa which are scattered through the city. Another awesome building we saw today was a hospital, built about 100 years ago, designed to please the patients with colourful mosaic, music and the setting is in a park. All the corridors are underground.
Tomorrow we take off to Pamplona where we'll start the Camino.
Nice beginning! A quit a change coming up. Moving from urban style to real Spanish countryside.
Enjoy!
