Pamplona

26 september 2015 - Pamplona, Spanje

Yesterday we arrived in Pamplona. We checked into a hostel and started to walk through the city centre. It's very nice and medieval, something we missed in Barcelona. We enjoyed walking through the narrow streets and see the olde buildings and churches.
This weekend there is a festival so everything is very lively. We saw a parade with giant people made out of paper mâché. The children loved them!
This morning we saw the statue dedicated to the Bulls. We walked the way of the bull run. That happens every second week of July. Doug loved it!
This afternoon we checked in our first pilgrims hostel. It is situated in the old city and it used to be a monetary. It is kind of luxurious. Tomorrow the hostel closes at 8:30 am so I guess we will start our pilgrims route then. We are kind of excited.
